Heyy everyone!!
We´ve had a slower few days over here - annoyingly I twisted my knee and then get some tendenitis or something which has made walking pretty painful. We probably walked walked too far yesterday and so today we´re having a rest day to try and get the knee better!
Other than that we´re having lots of fun, yesterday the albergue had a swimming pool (well, a large paddling pool which you could do about two lengths in!) so we had a very relaxing afternoon by the pool with some of our new friends! Mary is enjoying the fruit and veg over here - yesterday she came back from the shop with quarter of a huge watermelon which she then managed to eat almost all of! And for dinner enjoyed a large bowl of green peas!! She´ll be like Popeye with spinach soon!!
love from Spain,
Helen and Mary
P.S. please pray for the knee!! muchos gracias!
Obviously we've been praying for you both in a general way, but now we have more targetted praying to do can you specify, is it right or left knee so that we can hone in?!
ReplyDeleteAm enjoying hearing about €10 menu. But remember your duties and the story of Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone. Wikipedia tells the story thus:
"The unusual name of the wine region dates back to a 12th century tale of a German bishop traveling to the Vatican for a meeting with the Pope. The bishop sent a prelate ahead of him to survey the villages along the route for the best wines. At a Montefiascone inn, the prelate was reportedly so impressed with the local wine that he wrote Est! Est!! Est!!! (Latin for "It is") on the door so that the bishop would not fail to stop by." Go and do likewise.
If you could target the prayers towards the left knee that would be wonderful :) the left side of the left knee, in fact! Muchos gracias!
DeleteI´m being a good prelate and I will furnish you with a list of suggested places to stay/visit on your trip before you go. My wine knowledge is pretty limited but if you like sangria I could point you in the direction of cafes which do particularly fine jugs of the stuff!
Thanks for the prayers, hope all is well in Durham,
:) x
